English

Demonstrated in this video are the pictures from the book ‘Journey’ by Aaron Becker.  Watch this video and then write the story in your own words. You may want to start by writing one sentence for each picture. Then, join them together and develop your story by adding detail.

Below is a link where you can find additional activities based on this book.

Can you make up your own songs or rhymes to help you remember your times tables?

You can also use Times Table Rock Stars to practise.

Art

Use different materials and resources to create pictures through printing. At school, we have used our hands and fruit and vegetables with paint. Maybe you could try using bubble wrap, leaves or lego.

Can you think of any different materials to print with?

 Class 2: 2018 – 2019

MammalWeb

During our Science topic on animals and habitats we participated in a MammalWeb workshop. Before the workshop we were given a camera trap which we placed in different parts of our outdoor area. The camera took photos of the local wildlife. During our workshop we collected the camera and got to view the different photographs it has taken. We learned a lot and could name a variety of different animals that are local to us.

This Autumn term we learned about Ancient Egypt. As part of our learning we had a workshop from Bowes museum. We looked at a variety of artefacts, drew our names on papyrus in hieroglyphs and make our own clay shabti.
