Creative Week – 18th May
Beginning the 18th May, Creative Week consisted of many fun activities that were enjoyed by all. We would like to say a big thank you to all family members that joined in with creative week, this really helped make the event more fun for the children.
Our own school pupils created a special dinner menu specifically for creative week which went down very well spreading excitement throughout the school. Even the staff enjoyed trying their selections.
Our pupils have been allowed to take home their painted African masks and their Crushed Chilli glass designs for you all to see and display.
We are glad everyone enjoyed the events that were organised and we look forward to doing it all again next year.

Sports News – Archery
In our after school clubs, we recently introduced a new Archery Club for our Y6 pupils allowing them to learn a new skill. We have also had Fencing lessons for Y3/4/5/6 taking place on a Friday afternoon which all looks to be going very well.
Learning the Ukulele
On Fridays our Y1 and Reception pupils are currently having ‘Little Fingers’ music lessons and Y3 and Y2 ukulele lessons. Some children have enjoyed the ukulele lessons so much that they have bought their own ukuleles.
The Durham Climbing Centre
Over the past few weeks our pupils have been taking part in a 4 week block of climbing lessons held at The Durham Climbing Centre. It started with Y6 and Y5 going for 4 weeks then Y4 and Y3 for the next 4 weeks and now the Y2 and Y1 pupils are progressing through their slot. Reception pupils are to follow after Y2 and Y1 have finished their block. Feedback from children has been fantastic with some even taking up climbing at the centre as an out of school hobby
