Welcome to our School Council
Our School Councillors ensure that Esh pupils have a strong voice; they know they are listened to and that their ideas are not only valued but acted upon.
School Councillors stand for election at the end of the Summer term each year and are voted to the Council by their year group. The Council meet every week and discuss a wide range of issues. In the Autumn and Summer Terms, the School Councillors all attend the full Governor’s meetings, where they present a report of their activities to date.
The School Councillors are also our Rights Respecting School Representatives.
Our Current Councillors are:
Year 6 Rob : “I wanted to be a School Councillor because I would like to be part of the community that helps people locally and poor people around the world. I was really glad to be elected because I have stood for election for the last 5 years!”
Year 5 Libby : “I stood for election because I want to make school a better place and for everyone to be happy.”
Year 4 Tom : “I’ve wanted to be on the Council since I started school. I’m a good listener and I will make everyone smile. I will help anyone who is sad.”
Year 3 Elise : “I wanted to be a School Councillor because I take in ideas and I’m good at listening to other people.”
