Use the food technology skills developed in Autumn term and get cooking! Help prepare dinner or try some Easter baking. Don’t forget to measure ingredients carefully.
Design and create a board game. This can be as simple or complex as you like – take inspiration from your favorite games. Will you make the next monopoly or mouse trap?
Our next topic is South America. Why not research a country or city in South America and come up with a creative way to display your findings? Think about: the human and physical geography of the area, the climate, animals, cultures.
Create your own fitness circuit. Try to include 7 different activities and a water/rest station. Remember to organise it so you have different activities to work on different muscles types and a range of cardio moves. Get the whole family involved!
Keep developing your French! Twinkl offers some free word searches and flash cards or you can try these games. Revise what we’ve learned so far this year or keep going with some new words/phrases!
Last Friday we had the opportunity to try out a biathlon event involving laser shooting. Unfortunately we were unable to complete the running part due to the awful weather, but we made up for it with some very enthusiastic sets of star jumps! It was a great experience and we enjoyed having the chance to try something new.
Palace Green Library Visit
As part of our learning about Ancient Greece we visited Palace Green Library to take part in a workshop. We were able to handle some very old artefacts, learned about the Greek alphabet and played a Greek game. In the afternoon we even got to perform a Greek tragedy. It was a fantastic day!
In English this half term we are learning about Greek Myths. This week we started reading about the twelve labours of Heracles. We then acted out one of the first two labours in groups.
